A 66ª edição da cerimônia de entrega dos prêmios do Emmy 2014 aconteceu nesta segunda-feira (25), em Los Angeles. A premiação realizada pela Academia de Televisão, Artes e Ciências dos EUA elegeu as melhores produções para TV em diversas categorias. Neste ano, o apresentador do evento foi Seth Meyers, conhecido por seu trabalho no Saturday Night Live e agora apresentador do programa Late Night.
A grande vencedora da noite foi a série “Breaking Bad“, que levou o prêmio principal de Melhor Série Dramática, além de ter vencido nas categorias Melhor Ator em Série Dramática (Bryan Cranston), Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em Série Dramática (Anna Gunn), Melhor Ator Coadjuvante em Série Dramática (Aaron Paul) e Melhor Roteiro de Série Dramática (Moira Walley-Beckett pelo episódio Ozymandias). A Melhor Série de Comédia foi “Modern Family”, que ganhou pela quinta vez.
Entre os atores, Allison Janney conseguiu um feito ao ser premiada em duas categorias diferentes: Melhor Atriz Convidada em Série Dramática (“Masters of Sex”) e Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante de Comédia (“Mom”). Os dois atores principais de “Sherlock“, Benedict Cumberbatch e Martin Freeman, foram os vencedores nas categorias de Melhor Ator em Minissérie ou Filme para TV e Melhor Ator Coadjuvante em Minissérie ou Filme para TV por suas atuações no episódio “His Last Vow”.
