O que é “vibe coding”?

Um vídeo publicado no X mostrou Steve, o boneco do Minecraft, lutando dentro de Elden Ring, com a interface e a jogabilidade dos dois games perfeitamente integradas.

Juntar dois jogos tão diferentes exigiria, no passado, um trabalho enorme mesmo de programadores experientes. Hoje, está ao alcance de muitos amadores: basta pedir para uma IA.

[{"selector":"#anim-0098e294-f310-45a9-99eb-268b2d915e9a","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-d54a310b-bf9f-4be2-bb6c-4c9ff6557d8f","keyframes":{"transform":["rotate(-271deg) translate3d(474.99985%, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)","rotate(-271deg) translate3d(0px, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-540851cb-c5db-4d38-adad-00ac020e3443","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-7810acec-0d76-4fe3-9702-325b19e382da","keyframes":{"transform":["translate3d(-117.41936%, 0px, 0)","translate3d(0px, 0px, 0)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}]

Essa prática tem nome: vibe coding. O termo foi cunhado pelo pesquisador Andrej Karpathy em 2025 e descreve a programação feita por amadores com ajuda de IA, levados pela “vibe”.

[{"selector":"#anim-2b0b0c4a-5a87-4612-988f-dbae7453be6c","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-12f3f037-45db-4675-930f-08a726fd58eb","keyframes":{"transform":["rotate(-271deg) translate3d(474.99985%, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)","rotate(-271deg) translate3d(0px, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-1383d89f-f6ae-4a3f-9538-2b78fadcd2d6","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-d01fc81a-5e82-4298-ae3c-bb6feb8ce00a","keyframes":{"transform":["translate3d(-117.41936%, 0px, 0)","translate3d(0px, 0px, 0)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}]

O vibe coding entrou na versão online do Merriam-Webster, o dicionário de inglês mais tradicional dos EUA, ao lado de termos de IA como “agentic” e “prompt engineering”.

[{"selector":"#anim-41472a82-f1a7-450c-8cfd-c2f278ae3753","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-e759834e-f667-44ec-a3bf-965e6eef3a35","keyframes":{"transform":["rotate(-271deg) translate3d(474.99985%, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)","rotate(-271deg) translate3d(0px, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-26928f38-29e9-4f54-9612-a3f9c969b1bc","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-84cfdf60-3561-47a2-895c-3593b60a412c","keyframes":{"transform":["translate3d(-117.41936%, 0px, 0)","translate3d(0px, 0px, 0)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}]

Segundo o dicionário, quem faz vibe coding diz à IA o que quer e deixa que ela crie o produto. Não precisa entender como o código funciona e, muitas vezes, aceita certa quantidade de bugs.

[{"selector":"#anim-c6bd90d0-7620-4ef1-801f-ab07a3446a4c","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-e5f9c7e1-222d-4c85-8ea8-44ad4e65877e","keyframes":{"transform":["rotate(-271deg) translate3d(474.99985%, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)","rotate(-271deg) translate3d(0px, 0px, 0) rotate(271deg)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-0b001124-76a3-42b0-814d-dba3aca1edf3","keyframes":{"opacity":[0,1]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}] [{"selector":"#anim-c11df6ef-0feb-4a2b-9ab7-b010b12c9b06","keyframes":{"transform":["translate3d(-117.41936%, 0px, 0)","translate3d(0px, 0px, 0)"]},"delay":0,"duration":600,"easing":"cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.6, 0.0, 1)","fill":"both"}]

Esse é o ponto polêmico. Treinadas com trilhões de linhas de código, as IAs escrevem programas completos a partir de um único prompt, mas ainda cometem muitos erros.

Em sistemas com dados sensíveis, código desleixado vira vulnerabilidade. Um estudo do ano passado mostrou que 45% dos códigos gerados por IA falham em testes de segurança. Em Java, 72%.
