   Morte de Epstein: Brian Epstein foi indiscutivelmente o homem mais
influente no lançamento e  na promoção da popularidade do grupo no mundo
inteiro. Por ser o empresário da banda, ele pôde manter o grupo reunido
e  mediar  determinados  conflitos que o quarteto viesse  a  desenvolver
entre si, mantendo–se na postura de ser a última palavra, a última
decisão. Quando morreu em 1967, deixou um vazio na banda. McCartney
provavelmente sentiu a situação precária e procurou iniciar projetos
que estimulassem a banda. Em última instância, a discórdia sobre
liderança gerencial seria um dos fatores precipitantes para a banda se
dissolver. George Harrison como compositor: Nos primeiros anos, Paul e
John eram os únicos compositores da banda, enquanto que Ringo e George
desempenhavam suas funções como baterista e guitarrista respectivamente.

   No entanto, de 1965 adiante, as composições de Harrison ganharam
maturidade e tornaram–se mais atraentes em suas qualidades. Gradualmente
os outros membros reconheciam seu talento como compositor, mas cada vez
mais George começou a se frustrar pelo fato da maioria de suas ideias e
canções terem como fim a rejeição. Isso gerou confusão e,
consecutivamente, desavenças, principalmente entre Lennon e McCartney.
   Dificuldade em colaboração: De uma forma ou de outra, após o grupo
parar de excursionar, cada um dos integrantes começaram a seguir
comportamentos autônomos: enquanto McCartney via interesse no estilo pop
e nas tendências da Grã–Bretanha e dos EUA, Lennon tendia à música
introspectiva e experimental, enquanto que Harrison, por sua vez, estava
cada vez mais entusiasmado com a música indiana. Por conseguinte, Paul
começou a assumir o papel de líder dos projetos artísticos dos Beatles.
Além de cada membro ter começado a desenvolver uma agenda cujos eventos
exigiam cada vez mais individualidade –  o que acabou comprometendo o
grau de entusiasmo em conjunto – outro fator que contribuiu para a
fragilidade da banda foi a evidente falta de acordo já existente na
época de produção do “Álbum Branco“. Situação empresarial: Outra coisa
que agravou a situação da banda foi o fato de que, sem Epstein, eles
procuraram empresários para geri–la, mas a tentativa desses empresários
de estabelecer um controle sobre a banda The Beatles falhou. Mesmo antes
disso, houve confusão entre os integrantes, pois não conseguiram entrar
em acordo na escolha de um novo empresário.  Apesar de seus esforços em
estimular a banda, McCartney admitiu numa entrevista na revista
americana Life que a banda estava desestruturada, em novembro de 1969.

   Paul viu um conflito entre seu álbum solo “McCartney“ e o projeto do
álbum e do filme dos Beatles, Let It Be. “McCartney“ foi lançado e a
amargura de Paul por conta de alguns incidentes – como, por exemplo, o
fato dele ter ficado insatisfeito com determinadas atitudes dos gerentes
da banda – foi um fator contribuinte para sua declaração pública de que
havia saído dos Beatles. No começo de 1971, McCartney abriu uma ação
judicial para a dissolução da relação contratual dos Beatles e,
posteriormente, foi decretado.
